Why an answer says Needs review, and how to fix it
Rendro only answers from your own material: your Answer Library, your company profile and your documents. When none of them supports an answer, it writes "Insufficient information in knowledge base." and marks the question Needs review instead of guessing. On a first questionnaire with only a few documents, many questions can look like this. That is expected, and it gets better with each one you finish.
Start with the Needs review and Low confidence filters. Open a question and read the confidence reason: it explains why.
Ways to fix it:
- The answer is in a document you haven't added: upload it in Knowledge Base → Documents, then press Regenerate on the question.
- It's a one-line fact (MFA for all staff, where data is hosted, how long you keep backups): add it under Knowledge Base → Company profile → Other facts, then press Regenerate.
- You know the answer but it isn't written down anywhere: type it in the answer box and press Approve. Approved answers go to your Answer Library, so the next questionnaire reuses them.
- The question doesn't apply to you: press Mark N/A.
Regenerate takes an optional instruction, such as "shorter" or "mention our audit window". It never invents facts: if the sources still don't support an answer, it stays Needs review.
Medium confidence often means two sources disagree. Rendro uses the document with the newer effective date and says so in the reason. Mark the old document Outdated in Knowledge Base → Documents so it stops being used.
A document showing Search pending isn't fully searchable yet: press Make searchable on the Knowledge Base.
On the trial and paid plans, drafting a questionnaire again never counts twice. On the Free plan, each answer Rendro drafts again counts toward your 25 AI answers a month.
